Astroprotocol 0.4.0 is here!


This update brings exciting new features and balance changes, including:

  • Six Planet Types – Each with unique income profiles
  • Reworked Resource Costs – More strategic decision-making
    • Metal – Used for building ships and orbitals
    • Gas – Fuels technological research
    • Energy – Needed for colonization, planet upkeep, and unit activation
  • New Logistics System (Network) – Adds depth to movement and supply
  • Unit Activation Costs – Ships outside the network require energy to act
  • Passive Repairs – Ships inside the network regenerate 1 hull point per turn

Since the prototype launch, we've also added:

  • CPU Opponents – Face off against AI-controlled factions!
  • Improved Ship Movement – Ships can now move through friendly units, and overall movement speeds have increased for smoother gameplay.
  • New Orbital Graphics – Fresh visual assets for seven different orbital structures, improving clarity and aesthetics.
